On the first morning of our family vacation, we woke up at our rental house on the coast of Hawaii’s big island and went behind the house to get a closer view of the ocean. Waves crashing on the lava rocks greeted us and the excitement and delight at the view was tangible among the whole family. When I got home, I simply had to paint this view to share. Enjoy!
